Welcome to QoolSplit. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the QoolSplit mobile application and related services (the "App") operated by QoolSplit ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
By accessing or using QoolSplit, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) and that you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
QoolSplit is an expense-tracking and bill-splitting application that allows users to create groups, record shared expenses, calculate balances, and track settlements. The App is a record-keeping tool and does not process, hold, or transfer any money or financial transactions.
To use QoolSplit, you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate, current information and to update it as needed. You may delete your account at any time through the App's Profile settings.

You retain ownership of the data you enter into QoolSplit (expense descriptions, group names, profile information, etc.). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display this data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the service. We do not claim ownership of your content.
When you join a group, other group members can view your display name, profile photo, and expense/settlement activity within that group. You are responsible for the information you share. By adding expenses or settlements to a group, you consent to that information being visible to all current and future members of that group.
We strive to keep QoolSplit available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
The QoolSplit name, logo, design, and all associated content, features, and functionality are owned by QoolSplit and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
QoolSplit is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be accurate, reliable, or free of errors.
QoolSplit is a record-keeping tool only. We are not a financial institution and do not provide financial, tax, or legal advice. The calculations and balances shown in the App are for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any expense or settlement data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, QoolSplit and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or personal injury, arising out of or related to your use of the App.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless QoolSplit from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, for any reason, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms within the App and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada.
